    • Terrain Shadows - Heightmaps, the DBF Pre-Generated LOD now correctly includes heightmaps and the LOD Guide provides a script to split it from your generated output, allowing you to pack LOD without breaking heightmaps (Terrain Shadows can't read inside BSAs).
    • Hair Specular, it doesn't do a lot in DBF considered we don't revamp characters. It also needed patching that the guide failed to mention.

LOD Guide

  • Removed the warning about Skyrim Misc Bugfix Compilation, as it's now fixed with >=2.0.
  • Set LOD32 Optimize Unseen back to 550, the breakage seen previously was either a hallucination or a result of some other issue no longer present.
  • Bumped up the texture resolution of LOD32 from 256 to 512 to noticeably reduce its blurriness.
  • Simplified DynDOLOD instructions thanks to the new LOD32 button in its GUI.
  • Added steps to split the heightmaps from the generated terrain LOD by using a new script, as mentioned above.
  • Updated the DBF Pre-Generated LOD.

  • Removed the EnableTearing steps during the installation of Display Tweaks, it can be left disabled as it's not actually a requirement for VRR (the Microsoft documentation is wrong).

  • Removed SkyPatcher, the removal of DIAL makes it unused.

  • Updated the DBF Pre-Generated Pandora Output for Pandora 3.2.0-beta.

Visuals

  • Removed the following mods:
    • Dynamic Interior Ambient Lighting (DIAL), it introduces some annoying conflicts even though SkyPatcher is supposed to help. The new CS SkySync improves the look of interiors to compensate a little.
    • CS Particle Patch, the performance impact is too high compared to other features.

LOD Guide

  • Added a new SMI SKSE - Skyrim Misc Bugfix Compilation Patch, made necessary by Skyrim Misc Bugfix Compilation >=1.2.

Animations

  • Removed Animated Interactions SKSE, it feels a bit out of the guide's scope. It also might be causing issues with NPCs opening doors.
  • Updated the DBF Pre-Generated Pandora Output to reflect the change above.
  • Removed the Pandora Skeleton and Draugr Hotfix, it's merged in Pandora >=2.7.0-beta.

  • Regenerated the DBF Pre-Generated Terrain LOD, it used LOD32 512 resolutions instead of 256. You don't need to reinstall the file, as it changed almost nothing in practice (reason why we just use the 256 default).
  • Switched from DynDOLOD DLL SE to NG, and added steps to clean the base game plugins so that the large refs workarounds in DynDOLOD can be used, as it was still present with the previous setup.
  • Updated DynDOLOD settings for greater detail.
  • Updated the DBF Pre-Generated Object LOD to reflect the 2 changes above.
